A federal judge in Greenbelt, Maryland, United States has sentenced a Nigerian to more than three years in prison for shipping guns and ammunition to Nigeria.
According to a report by the Associated Press, 50 years old Emenike Nwankwoala, a former state probation officer, was sentenced on Monday in U.S. District court in Greenbelt.
Prosecutors said Emenike told an undercover agent from Immigration and Customs Enforcement that he had been buying shotguns and shipping them to Nigeria for the past decade, turning a large profit. and he also told the agent that he hid the guns in shipping containers with vehicles.
